Thanks to Gregg Hennum and the entire Hennum Family for making our stay at
BOTH Sportsman's Lodges such a wonderful experience!  Check their webpage for complete details.
Sportsman's Lodge - Minnesota Lake of the Woods and Rainy River Baudette Minnesota Open Year Round world Class Walleye Fishing!

We caught a lot of Walleye and Sauger the first day, but these 2 were the ones for the pictures.  In the background, one of the 2 lodges at Sportsman's Oak Island Lodge at the north end of the Minnesota side of Lake of the Woods!  You're looking at just under 4 and 5 pound fish.

My Trophy for day 2!  Right at 6 pounds!  Thanks Gregg!!!

The biggest fish of the trip, caught by Stephen, cameraman of a TV crew that was along.  Yes I might be on Television....Keep listening for details.  This old girl went back in the water.  Just under 30 inches and close to 12 pounds.  We measured, and snapped a couple of pictures and released her!!

Here's the view from my Lodge room in Baudette.  The Rainy River was peaceful that evening but the anticipation was high!

Heading out to do radio shows, fishing, and finding our way to Oak Island and the Sportsman's Lodge bed waiting for us on the north end.

Master Boater, fishing guide, fish cleaner, our host, the GM of the entire Sportsman's operation, and all around great guy, Gregg!

BY 2pm the first day we were Hungry!  Here's a quit place to pull into Garden Island for Shore Lunch!  It was a picture perfect day, the right temp, low winds, no mosquitoes, and a cooler full of eating size Walleyes and Saugers.

Did I mention Gregg also cooks up a MEAN SHORE LUNCH!!  Check out the Paul Bunyan sized frying pan.  And we ate it all!

What a trip it was!   You can experience the same thing.  Just visit the Sportsman's Lodges website, call and book your fun.
